Reflector makes backup folder protected

Post by belonesox »

I cannot see the new backup folder unless I uncheck "hide protected system files" in explorer. Why is that? Cobian backup 11 did not have this problem.

Interesting. Have never seen this problem before. What is the source and the destination?

Hi. I have 2 tasks, and both destinations are hidden, like they are hidden system folders. Both sources are folders on internal drives (C and D and E). Both destination are external USB drives (F and G). I have installed Reflector as a service. None of the sources folders are hidden.

I just installed Cobian Reflector and ran my first backup task. I have the same problem. I have to uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" to see the backup.

Does the same thing happens if you disable "Copy file attributes" on the Engines tab of the options?

After disabling the "Copy file attributes" option, the backup folder is no longer hidden.

Yes, but I think this happens only if you are backing up a ROOT directory like C:\ or D:\ . Is that the case?

That was my case, yes. Root directory.

Yes, this will be solved. By the way, do you exclude the System Volume Information directory? If you exclude it, does the same problem occur?
