network directory not found

Post by vinsse2001 »

Hi !
I import backups from Cobian Backup, but network directories are not found, even if I confirm them.

For example, I created a shared directory on my home network : \\PC-SALON\Documents\Admin
I create a task to copy all documents from this directory, to D:\backup
Task options :
- General = no group, enabled, include subdirectories, use archive attributes, differential backup
- files = from \\PC-SALON\Documents\Admin to D:\backup
- schedule = manual
- advanced = mirror task, always create parent folder, clear archive attribute
- others = unchanged

If I connect network drive (for ex Z: on \\PC-SALON\Documents), it does not change anything, it takes same config (\\PC-SALON\Documents).

Error message :

You cannot access the network using a service with the System account. Run this task as an application or as a service under another account.

Ok, thanks.
So it should be interesting to add an alert if user is system and a task uses a network directory ?

In the installation when you select the user for the service, there is a warning about this problem.
