Only one file is backed up if two files have the same name

Post by digdug »

I have a couple cryptocurrency wallets, and they both name their wallet file, wallet.dat. The directories these files are stored in our gigabytes, so I only want to backup the individual files, but once the backup is completed, whichever file that shows up last in the backup list is the one that wins.

I'm not quite sure the best way to solve this one -- one idea I can think of is to allow specifying an optional sub-folder for each backup item, so duplicate named items can still be stored in the same destination directory without needing to make multiple backup tasks as a workaround for this.

I would check "Use absolute paths". Not ideal, but it works.

Nice, that does work. Fortunately I only have one conflicting filename, so I'll probably keep using my original workaround for now, since OneDrive's "Free up space" feature doesn't seem to be very user-friendly with multiple depth subfolders.
