Does not like Mapped Drives

I have

• Reflector running as a service,
• "Execute events in UI context" unchecked and
• the network drive mapped in a pre-event command line event /c "net use ..." with the correct credentials to have write access on the mapped drive.

This works for me.

Shouldn't it ?

OK. As a service it will never work, even when running as another user. That's because the drives are not mounted on that context.

That's leaves us only to the application mode... it's the only way.

I say again - on the same system in Backup11 - works as a service - with the mapped drive.

I ask again - why does is make a difference how I switched from as a service to as an application?
No matter how I switched to as application should it not work the same?

Are you sure it is not converting the path of the source or destination to UNC?
In the Functionality settings un-check "Convert all paths to UNC"

OK I do have an explanation why it doesn't work when changing the mode from server to Application via the program's panel. The panel is elevated, so the application starts in elevated mode as well. Will made some changes for the next version.

Because it's running on elevated mode (The service and application control IS elevated).

Thank you ... I do not why it is different from backup11 but indeed Mapping the drive as a pre-event worked!

So I now have it set
- Run as a Service using a regular account with access to the share.
- Uncheck the "Convert to UNC"
- Uncheck the "Execute Events in UI context"
- a pre-event to map the drive.

It is easy enough to add that mapping to the old backup11 task.

This will not be needed when the program is started in not elevated mode.

For example: close the program AND start it MANUALLY. It should find every resource. It's simpler.

The panel is elevated, so the application starts in elevated mode as well. Will made some changes for the next version.

We are waiting for the change.

So I now have it set

In the meantime :D, this works. And you do not even have to uncheck "Convert to UNC". Once the drive is mapped using adequate credentials, UNC works as well.
