Backups run, but only show up on My Computer; not in the actual drive

Post by timgp31415 »

Hi Everyone: I've been using Cobian for years and have never seen anything like this. Perhaps someone else has.

I've run Reflector backups to my USB external hard drive and while My Computer shows that the destination partitions
have filled up with the expected sizes of the backed-up drives there is no evidence of any backup when I go into those
destination drives. I've checked for hidden files and have found none.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

You are backing up a root drive (C:\ or D:\, for example). Those drives are sometimes marked as Hidden and System. The old program ignored those attributes. This copies them "as is". Tell Explorer to show hidden AND system files.
