Keeping all copies of backup

Post by wackywiz »

I am running timed backups as a service of my documents & other picked data directories overnight to my H: drive, a usb connected 500GB spining HD, my source is a 500 gb ssd, and am set to keep only 3 backups in the backup directory via the dynamics tab. However, the program never deletes old copies, am I doing something wrong? I am running tests via windows 7 pro 64 bit on an i7 with 16gb of ram. Runing .36 beta until just now, I upgrading to .38.

Impossible to say without more details:

* Are these incremental, full or differential backups
* Is the first backup parked?
* If the USB HD always connected?

The incremental jobb will never delete backups unless you make periodically Full backups on it.

The full jobb should work. Do you get any clue on the log file if you set it as Verbose?
