Problem with folders encrypted with Windows Encryption

Post by ab0412 »

Hello,

Since upgrading to 0.9.56 Beta, I am getting the following error when the program attempts to compress folders that are using windows encryption:
ERR 2021-11-28 10:53:48 An error occurred while compressing "C:\Users\xxxxx\Documents\TurboTax\2010 8453-PE.pdf" to "Z:\BackupTemp\BackupCDrive\Documents 2021-11-28 10;53;20 (Full)\TurboTax\2010 8453-PE.pdf.zip": (5) Access is denied: [\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy248\Users\xxxxx\Documents\TurboTax\2010 8453-PE.pdf]

This did not happen with the prior beta version.

All other folders that are not using windows encryption do not have this problem.

Thank you

Are you running the program as a service perhaps? You need to run the program as an application OR as a service under your own account in order to be able to access those files.

Thank you for the quick response.

I am running the program as a service. I have made a change to run the service under my own account and that appears to have corrected the problem.

Thank you!
