Accessing Cobian Reflector

Post by supabil »

I don't seem to be able to access Reflector from system tear. It goes to the task bar as a bue icon and when I click on it it disapears! This means I cannot check the logs unless I got to Progam files. Also I can't add a backup or edit a backup. I am running the latest version (0.9.60).

Check the Event Viewer and see if you can find some info there about the User interface crash.

The only error in the event viewer under Application and Service logs is: -

Or Similar errors!
However, I'm not very familiar with the event viewer so I may be looking in the wrong place!
It is now happening on at least 2 of our 4 computers using Reflector.
Would you like me to send you a video?

This is the VSC service... I would try to open the Repair Permissions tool and see if that would help.

The Cobian Reflector Repair Permissions Tool ran successfully with no difference. I have just noticed that the log files do not indicate that any files have been backed up! I will do a test to see if that is or isn't the case

One of my laptops that is exhibiting thr problem is completing the backups according to the log files. Still can't get the user interface to display though. I am running out of ideas!
So I have 2 computers working correctly (1 PC, 1 Laptop) and 2 computers not working correctly (1 PC , 1 Latop).

The program will run even if the user interface is not running. These are 2 separated parts.

If you delete

C:\users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\CobianSoft\Cobian Reflector

and try to start the UI, does it start then?
