Server - Client

Post by tonptt »

Hello everyone,

I have a question about cobian.

Do I need to control cobian backups, is there a dashboard or http page that can track the backups that are made and the ones that fail?
I have several workstations backing up, but wanted to control them centrally. Can anyone help?

Best Regards

What's your central machine? Windows or Linux?

I realise that the Cobian machines will all be Windows! The reason I asked about the server was because you asked about controlling them centrally. I'm working on trying to backup the laptops as part of my main system backups on the Linux machines, hence the query. I'm heading towards running Cobian as a service to backup to a local external disk, then using `ssh` to move the local backups off the laptops and into the main system backups. Still experimental though.
