Borken archives

Post by inanotherlife »

Some of my archives are broken. Some are not.
There is no errors in the log, when Reflector is checking the archive, but when I extract the monolitic archive with WinRar (last version) or 7zip, it shows errors.

Here is an example of the log and attached a picture of the error when extracting the archive:

If you use the decompressor from the Tools menu, do you have the same problem? Also are those Zip64 archives? I see those are 4GB , which is the limit for non-zip64 archives.

I extracted a slightly bigger archive from yesterday, with Winrar and 7zip, which doesn't produce this error:

And these are the settings for archiving:

This is the error Decompressor gives, when extracting the problematic archive:

If the destination a FAT formatted drive?

I will make some tests with really big archives.

It's standard NTFS in Windows 2019 Server.
It's not the size, as I posted, the last archive is healthy although slightly bigger than the problematic ones.
The broken .mdb files are databases which I suspect could be leaved open (in use) from some laptop, although I'm making the archive in 5 in the morning. But Reflector is using Volume shadow copy, right?

Yes, it shouldn't be a problem if using VSC. In theory,
