I've looked through several "restart" complaints. They're all different because everyone has different hardware/software issues that they deal with. The need however still exists. I had incompatable software on my system it took some doing to unentangle it. I'm not even sure that I've done that until I notice that the problem has ceased but how long does that take when you don't know exactly the cause?
This has required multiple restarts on my part and that's caused Cobian to restart the failed backup. Cobian really needs to pickup where it left off rather than restarting the entire backup. That would eliminate the backup data that's still hanging out there hogging up my backup drives and would ensure that I'm not backing up, let's call it 2tb of data, over and over again when the end of the backup is 1mb away form completion. We're talking maybe 24 hours of processing to complete the backup. I don't actually know because it runs unattended but it's considerble and may even be more.
