messages on the board can only attach JPG files, not DOC or TXT

When I encounter a problem, I want to provide as much detail as possible. Ideally, II should be able to attach a backup log, which is a TXT file. This is flagged as 'not a valid extension'. The same thing happens with DOC files.

1. WHY are these file extensions not uploadable?

2. WHAT extensions, other than JPG, ARE allowed?

I would think that TXT files, at least, SHOULD be uploadable, as Cobian Reflector produces them

All files are files. All files can be backed up. The program doesn't make any difference from file to file based on the extension.

It's not a question of backing up a file. It's regarding attaching a file to a message on the Cobian message board. Only JPGs seem to be allowed as atttachments. all others are flagged as 'not a valid extension'. To provide documentation on the message board, as an attachment, txt and doc files should also be allowed. Try and attach a doc or txt file in your response to this thread. See what happens.

I understand. Zip the files and I think any extension will be accepted.

OK, ZIP files seems to be allowed, so I will use that in the future. But, if you canupload a ZIP file, why NOT a text file?

Don't know. Send a message to phpBB to see why they have decided that way. Perhaps they can change it in future versions.

I guess he's talking abaout the forum, on the Attachments apart. If you want to attach a .txt, .doc, you can't, only those type of extensions
